so my father made up some mil eliminators for me, but when I got them there was a descrepancy over what wire the resistor should be in between his directions and the set I found on NECO...

here's a picture of both directions, which way is right?

From my limited understanding of electronics: As long as resistance is added to the circuit, on the 'sensor side' of the capacitor, the MIL ELIM will function as intended. Which wire you add that resistance to, shouldn't really matter.

yeah thats kind of what I was thinking, but I dont like to guess with electronics....

thanks for clearing it up for me though!

Mil elims are: faster, cheaper, easier.

If you solder the components directly in line (forget the board), you're out: ~$3 and 15 minutes. I just did it today, We'll see if my p0430 comes back.

I don't see how they can ruin a sensor. Care to explain that one?

All a MIL Eliminator is, is a simple filter.

MIL eliminators will unquestionably fake a functioning cat. Foulers can too, but not as definite. I'd rather not mess with spacers to find something that works most of the time, when I can easily make something that works all of the time.

What I ment was that if you some how mess wires up on the solidering process, you could ulitmately short out the sensor.

The anti fouler method is like 6 bucks and takes about 15 minutes. The best part is no cutting or solidering. You simple bore out the hole on one of the foulers. Thread the o2 sensor inot the fouler and then into the exhaust. I have done this on a few of my cars. To be honest I have seen mil eliminators fail a lot more than the anti fouler method. But hey to each is own. I was just offering up another suggestion. I guess you can go with what ever is comfortable.
