Sorry sitting here kinda bored. Since our tornados here the insurance company doesn't wanna pay for it. The claim our policy doesn't include them.

But I found these lights in my pile of car stuff. I think I might try cutting the fender to get them to fit. What you guys think worth while adventure? Made a pattern to cut out.

They came out of a vw while wondering around the junk yard. I sat cutting out a template to use in cutting it oft. Kinda nervous about making it to big.

I just ordered them a few days ago. They should be here Monday or Tuesday. When you start cutting, take pictures. I'd like to see how you did yours. As well as your wiring if you can.

I had a different contour and the wiring is easy. Just finding the resistors and diodes are a little trickery and yeah plenty of pics but a little smaller. Picked mine up at a little electronics place, radio shack didn't carry them. Ll

yeah i just bought a set of tinted audi a6 sidemarkers and cut my fenders today. what i did was first put a grinding bit on my dremel and got rid of that metal clip, and smoothened the backs of the lenses. then i dremeled the hole under the 24v badges a bit bigger so the center tube part fit in and i could judge how wide i needed to cut. once i saw that, i put a cutting wheel on and went to work. i cut a basic rectangle even on both sides of the circle and then went back to the grinder bit, and id grind it down around the edges and then testfit the lense...if it didnt fit flush id grind down more until it sat in the hole flush against the fender. After i got both sides cut and done, i painted where i cut so it wont rust. I lan on 2 way taping the lenses on, and run the wiring into the bay and tap into the signal light wiring. I dont want the markers on until i signal so this is the easiest way

Any pics? I have the same ones going in after I install the 3l, your car is black so the tinted ones should look good, did your come with the chrome bulbs too?

those have to be pretty different from the set that I installed. They fit into the existing hole in the fender with openning it up just alittle. mounted with double sided tape.

its two resistors in parrellel, a 100 and 50 ohm iirc. mine are wired to be parking lights and turn signals.

Should be one resistor and one diode. I can't recall what they are off the top of my head. The resistor is a little tricky to find.

Yes i understand this. however I was not able to find a 35 watt resistor easily. so running two in parallel got me close enough. so one leg is ground, one has the diode for the brinker and one has hower for the light w/resistor so that its only full bright with the blinker. both my cars are this way and I did sell one harness to someone else for the same thing.

My side markers don't have any resistors/diodes

-off when lights are off
-dim when parking light is on
-bright blink goes opposite of factory blinkers
