Well I was browsing through eBay when I came across these guys...

FORD MONDEO COUGAR ST24 ST200 V6 DECAT EXHAUST MANIFOLD

Looks exactly like the old WeaponR SS headers and y-pipe. Although it looks like the bend in the y-pipe is better... but it could just be the angle too. In anycase it appears there is another means of getting yourself stainless steel headers for the V6 again... or at least for now. Pray MSDS doesn't find out about these  Although that said I'm pretty sure there US patents don't apply to these since it looks as if they are being made in Europe and they are not being sold here.

Those are WeaponR Headers. Enlarge the pic and look at the header in the middle. It says WeaponR on it. :)

You can read that out of that blurryness?! I'm impressed. Either way it looks like the design has been tweaked for the better. They moved the HEGO sensor port on the front header so you don't have to trim back your fan shroud and the rear header looks like they did some tweaking there as well with the ports.

I don't read weopon r, its got too many letters to be that, it almost looks like it says something powered like taylorpowered or something, lol.

When you do the money conversion, those headers come out to about $700 with shipping. Not much of a deal, especially when there is no guarantee there wont be fitment issues.

from toyosports directly, yeah. but if you can get them off ebay for around the price they are at now, it would way cheaper.

there is a member from MEG that sells this stainless headers and y-pipe. both together cost arround 300 pounds + shipping, as i remember (what is something like 450 bucks). well, the best way is to organize a group buy, if you want. probably the price would drop, acording the quantity....

Well technically the prices are in British pounds (not as good of an exchange rate for us as the Euro). So the price in US dollars would be $318. Still not bad though.

Edit: on a side note, that racebits site does have a nice looking oil catch can. I haven't seen that one before.

You can get Mazda 6 stainless headers for really cheap as well. I think the outlet on rear header needs to be modified a bit for it to work on the Cougar/Contour.
