I'm going to guess that motor is out of a '02 Cougar since they came with silver valve covers like that.

if that is the case the rear valve cover would be different because of a slightly different coil pack, iirc. also the cougar had the tensioner on the front side (radiator side) of the front cover, not the back like ours.
