how to wire oil temp guage to drain plug?

Are there oil temperature guage kits that have drain plug adapters that fit our csvt drain plug thread size? How do you run the line all the way up to where you mount it? Is there a how to on how to mold the guage in the coin holder and please only give links to guages that fit on the coin holder. thanks

As for the molding your on your own there only a few people have done this due to the time and cost involved..Im not aware of any drain plug adaptors for a Oil Temp gauge..Your best best is a Auto-Meter Electrical sending unit guage. No messy oil lines to run..You will have to remove the oil pan for drilling and tapping and then simple run the wire to your gauge and hook up power and ground etc and your done..

Search the old forums for alot of your questions..Alot of what your looking for is just a few clicks away..

EDIT: 2inch gauge will fit just fine in your Change holer just drill some holes and mount..As for molding like i said your on your own..

i have seen the oil temp probe and plug for an oil drain, but only it was for audi and VW vehicles. the only way to know if it would work would be to get it and work out the fittings yourself, involving several trips to lowes!
