I have trouble with part names and I'm trying to figure out the name or Part# for a bushing.

I hope this description proves sufficient

Rear wheel appears to have 3 bushings I'm looking for the one that is aligned Left-Right of the car(the middle one)

so (Wheel) || <=> (bushing)

On rockauto I found one called trailing arm bushing and one called Rear Suspension Link. I don't want to order the wrong thing. If anyone can figure out what I mean or have a diagram / photograph of the area I can point it out.

Thanks in advance

Pics are best in this type of question.
Is this the car in the signature or a SVT? SVTs as far as I know have Independant suspension in the rear and uses trailing arm. I know my mothers pre 98 GL has a one piece in the rear. I can't say I'm an expert with either but I know the SVT has trailing arms and trailing arm bushings are replaceable. You will need a alignment afterwards IIRC.

SVT has 2 Trailing Arms per side running from the spindle to the middle of the rear end. Stabilizer Bars running from the spindle towards the rear doors (IIRC) and the sway bar attaches to one of the trailing arms.

A little more info and pics would get you the answers you need. Theres always a Ford dealer too, they still have diagrams they can print.

Every Contour has the same rear suspension setup, a multilink with trailing arms, one trailing arm per side that run parallel to the wheel, and dual control arms running perpendicular to the wheel going to the subframe. The trailing arm bushing on the spindle is the lowest one and must be cut or burned out but can then be replaced, preferably with ES pieces as I'm not sure there's a stock replacement available. The rearward control arm is typically called a toe arm since it controls toe and as far as I know the bushing cannot be replaced, but there are several options for tubular replacements from Pole120 (in the group buy section), TZT (another member here Striker2), or a company called Massive, which is what I'm running, all are high quality and roughly ~$200 for a set.

The forward control arm will also probably necessitate cutting or burning the wheel side bushing out, though you can use the same ES bushings for them as the trailing arms, in fact ES lists them as control arm bushings. They come in a pack of 4 so replacing both trailing arm bushings and the outer control arm bushing (the inner could also be replaced but other members have stated it requires dropping the subframe because the bolt is too long and contacts the gas tank) on one side would require one pack, so 2 packs will do both sides.
