HELP, Got a pre-purchase inspection done

I was looking to buy a ford contour in seemingly great condition, had a mechanic do a full inspection and the timing belt needs replacing, the tires are very worn and need replacing, and the front left spring is broken. Buddy is asking $1500 for it. is this worth it? If I did buy it, would I be able to pay anyone on here who knows these cars well to repair it? I'm in red deer Alberta right now, drove all the way from Edmonton to take a look

Update: bought the car, what's a good brand if I'm looking for a timing belt kit??

You stated in your other thread it is a V6. If it is, it has a timing chain.

You paid a lot for a car needing that much work. I’d have offered or paid less than $1000.

Buy as much as you can from Rock Auto. Parts are cheap and easy to get from there. I’m also down in Lethbridge. I can send you contact info for a guy in Calgary I sometimes use for used tires.
