Front Spring Compatibility

I just wanted to make sure about the front springs on our cars... Everyone's telling me that the SVT springs are different than the normal 98-2000 springs, which I dont think is true. All 98-2000 Contours have the same front springs and struts, right? Does the manual transmission Contour's have different springs?
