Damn that is a smart idea... I'm going to do this tomorrow. No question.

I was looking at putting on my summer wheels and my splitter soon... now I have good reason too.

I'll post pics as well.

some of them look alright..but most look like really stupid on the sides. they need to fab up something to straighten the sides out some:shrug:

i still think a mach1 lip could work out

wont fit on a csvt!

i was under the impression that it was very difficult to pain mach1 lips because of how flexible they are, i guess that was incorrect...?

yes, please do. its flexible,so it can be shaped...within' reason. i've personally used other lips on car's their not intended for. it's plenty long enough,as the mustang is wider. the bends aren't important, none of those cars above have the same shape front bumper as the the stang either.

Search FocalJet about it. Surprisingly, the Mach1 front end is more narrow than the Focus front end... so they have to use lots of fasteners and a heat gun. I thought it would work well on ours, except that the SVT front end angles up in the center, which might look funny.

Garage door stripping is too flexible. It *might* look ok in the parking lot, but would flop around while at speed... and you'll most likely not get any functional benefit from it.

It only sticks down from the bumper about an inch...doesn't really flap at all. I did this DIY lip last night and it looks fine, the only thing I need to do is adjust the bolts cause I put them a little too far up so you can see the washers making the lip bump out a little in certain spots. Overall though, best $10 you'll spend on the car.

heh. I'll take pics of my own over the weekend. What we have discovered though, it looks a lot better if your car is already lowered. Mine is stock ride height but his is slammed and it looks a lot better on his...
