Front License Plate Holder

Check ebay or a junkyard...

I was always curious if anyone ever thought of doing a group buy for a much smaller and less ugly looking front holder... perhaps one that is on the lower mesh
 
Yes, I got one from a junk jard for my 1995 Contour... I just ripped out the clips holding it in, then used fat screws from Home Depot to attach it to my car...

One thing you may want to know, the plate may not fit properly... I had to shave the edges and corners down quite a bit to get mine to fit within the lip because it was too big... Also, I have seen other people post pictures around here and you can clearly tell that the plate was too big, LOL...
 
FYI, the plate holders for the 98+ are different than the pre98. The 98+ bumper has a much bigger curve between the top and bottom than on the pre98, which is relatively flat. It will bolt to the car but it fits kinda funky.

Kind of. The pre98's only have two bolts, which are SO conveniently NOT the same dimensions as the holes on a license plate! On the 98+, however, there are THREE holes, but two of them are located in the same spot. The third hole is above them in the center. I guess I would know cuz I have a 98+ holder on my pre98 :crazy: haha.
