Anyone interested in test fitting a Fluidampr to there car?
It fits the the 3.0 Duratec in the Mazda 6 and is 10% underdriven and works like a charm

I will test-fit one. I am doing a 3L build right now.

Pm sent

what is it?

I think its the same thing as a DMD.

Close but go to the link above and check the how it works section. My car is the Mazda on the website that is flashing on the home page of the new products

This thing is like having the DMD and Unorthodox Racing pulley combined into one.

It is 10% underdrive and SFI certified.I have the first one on my car and love it.There are noticeable gains on whp and NO vibration what so ever

Would this work for the 2.5 also? I was under the impression the crank pulleys were interchangeable.

Finally someone is taking the correct approach for an underdrive crank pulley on this engine . . . I hope it works well.

After reading here about the problems with the Unorthodox pulley,I contacted Fluidampr about a year ago and got an interest thread going on the mazda6club forum and got one of the sponsors over there to buy the initial run of them.A year later we now have a pulley.

Very nice approach.
Good to have another option when I do a 3L, but it makes you pay to play I guess, $350 .
I went with the ASP UDP and crossing my fingers.

Thanks, I was just thinking about this again this morning. Underdrive + damped = perfect.
I will be adding this to my wish list. Stupid AC compressor has put fun/upgrade mods on hold for a while.

This will be interesting. I run a Fluidamper on the 350 in my Camaro. However I only had to pay $189 for that one  to bad we didn't have the market that the Chev 350 motor does, hell we would have more parts available then we would know what to do with

Just so everyone knows the FluidAmpr fits our platform without any issues. It does have a much tighter fit (Tolerance) then the stock crank damper/pulleys though. I think (surmise) they did their measurements before they coated the unit. That few hundredths does not sound like much but it makes for a tighter fit. Lube it well or knock off the coating. ...or both...

For the record the FluidAmpr weighs around 7.6-7.7lbs and quells engine vibrations much better then a DMD. A DMD weighs close to the same weight and the stock damper a hair over 5lbs.

BTW the FluidAmpr is rated to 12500rpm. (SFI 18.1) Don't try testing it out though. ;)
