I know that ARP is regarded as the best when it comes to head bolts but is there any advantage when used in a stock application when compared to Fel-Pro?

Are the $20 Fel-Pros just as good as the $250 ARP's?

I'm thinking the same thing. I'd go with the ARP's if I was going for a high stress engine but I'm not.

I'm debating on pulling the heads on the 3.0 so I can do a better job at porting the heads for the LIM and to install the motor mount. I guess I'll just go with the Fel-Pros and TTY properly.

how many people who have turbo's actually use arp's? not many...is there even a documented case of the heads on these cars lifting?

Well, it would be a pity that, considering the price difference, one would be as good as the other. On the other hand, aren't studs warranted for most if not all high performance or racing applications instead of head bolts?

I'm doing head gaskets on my 98 SVT with a stock 2.5L and I am replacing the old bolts with OEM Ford bolts. I want to say I paid 2.50 a bolt, so 40 a set from Team Ford Parts.

I searched for the thread, but couldn't find it. I think it was a month or 2 ago that someone said Stazi lifted a head with ARP bolts and 23psi.
