can someone please explain to me why there's a ground for the hood?

I dunno? Thats been there since I got the car. I was confused about that too. I moved the one on the fender.

Nub, stfu about my hood. You and your 59 posts can go somewhere else...If you haven't noticed a good portion of CEG runs an open air intake, not to mention the air duction attached to the scoop... :nonono:

The blue is actually darker, my camera is goofy. Its actually Ford Blue Engine paint color.

Well actually that stops any electro static disposal from occuring during the air collection and inductal compression stages. Without that surpression of the electro static charge buildup, it my be possible to cause the rapid and immediate electron transit relocation stimulated syndrome. God knows what would occur if that happened under a hood! :nonono: We only play it safe here on CEG!

 I really doubt it is possible!

I'm still not sure why our hoods have grounds. Especially considering the hood is attached to metal support brackets which are attacked to the top of the firewall/fender framing. It kinda is its own ground...

i asked my electrical teacher about this today at school. it is there to turn the hood into a ground. they did this to prevent engine noise from being picked up by the radio. probably a good idea to just leave it in.

Man, Your car would be an AWESOME looking non-svt if it didnt have that stupid hood scoop. Or even if the scoop was rounded so it fit the body lines of the car more. That one is just so friggen ghetto.

After looking at it more. I almost like your front end more than that of the SVT. I love the chin spoiler on your car.
