Well i figured I wouldn't find or buy a streetbike in my price range for a few more years. Long story short I had a headsup on this bike and jumped on it. 2007 R6 2500miles on it.

I welcome you to the darkside... please, don't ride like an ass .

Here is a picture of my ride.

Darkside to me is streetbikes. No douchebaggetry for me. I despise the whole stuntbike crap. My big plan is to hit some trackdays or enroll in a real riding school. I should have a jacket and helmet in the next few days. MX helmet was kinda hard on the neck.

Nice bikes all.

I dunno i didn't feel like calling the thread look at my new bike!

never owned or like yamahas
Hondas all my life ATV's,Odyssey(not the minivan)motorcycles
Always rode MX bikes
Hate the sportbike/stunt scene with a passion
Hate the douchebags that do that crap on the street even more

I'm hoping to be getting a good jacket from the bikes previous owner this week, still up in the air on a helmet. Regardless the bike is going to rode til the snow flies and will be back on the streets when the salt is off the roads again.

Nice bike. It is good to hear that you will be pushing it to a greater potential than could ever be done on the street. Track time is addicting though. Before you know it you'll end up with a club racing license.

I wrote that wrong...up in the air on the BRAND of helmet. I won't ride inless i have a helmet on period. I'm doing some researching and shopping around on helmets and gear right now.

hm... for the value, i like HJC. They make a quality product and their prices arent through the roof. shoei is also very good. However, they are also very expensive.

I've heard good things about scorpion helmets, gonna check them out. Shoei is my first choice, but inless its clearanced forget it.

My ex's BF has a scorpion jacket and helmet, also has a really nice icon jacket. Probably gonna buy the icon jacket off him and see if I can get smaller padding for the helmet. he has stuff that all matches the bike(yes I have my ex's new bf's bike now) and i should be able to get it cheap.

I can deal with a nice used jacket... but do you really want a used helmet?

im checking out the website for scorpion, honestly never gave them a thought.. some of their stuff looks pretty decent. i need some gloves. i actually might buy a pair from them. And a new jacket, but thats going to wait untill i figure out what im doing my my bike.

You guys should check out newenough.com. They are hands down the best people you will ever deal with when buying gear and are usually hard to beat on their pricing (especially clearance items). A majority of the gear I have ever bought has come from them. I had a zipper brake on a jacket I got from them after less than a year and they took care of everything for me instead of making me go through the factory warranty crap. They didn't have any replacements in stock so instead they just had me return it to them in exchange for a credit of 110% of what I paid. Things like that earn customers for a very long time.
