Probably one of the best videos out there for the Dragon that I've seen and I bring this to you because its never to early to think about our little 7th annual event thats held every fall and doesn't really cost anything other than your lodging, food and gas. Its losely organized w/o any politics or hurt feelings, enjoy!

Like every year, this event is planned for the end of Sept/beginnng of Oct, so keep this in mind if your even thinking of going out with us. Last year we had 9 cars from 6 states and the weather was perfect too:cool:

Looks fun. I'm trying to get my friends together to head a little west of here and drive the Three Sisters for a day or two and will borrow a camera of some sort when I do.

Yeah it can get a little old, I understand that, but the sport bike sound is cool compared to some wind noise I've heard in other vids:rolleyes:

BTW, what is the three sisters:confused:

Never been to the Dragon but after watching that I gotta ask....how many deaths on this thing a year???

People race on this all year (weather permitting) with normal every day traffic on it?

Well its usually either wind or Linkin Park so take your pick! :)

They are down near Fredericksburg close to a small town called Leakey. 335, 336 and 337 make a nice loop that is an attraction for car and bike clubs.

I'm sure some people race on it but those are the people the police look out for. Folks say as long as you arent being dumb or dangerous than the cops usually mind their own business.

I saw a bunch of links to the retarded things those motorcylcists are doing on this road, it's a chronic problem. Completely illegal and such a danger to the public. If I lived around here I would avoid it at all costs.

less than 5 per year.

ive never seen anybody actually racing on the Dragon. you only go as fast you feel comfortable pushing your vehicle. some exceed the limits, usually motorcycles, and wreck. as for traffic, im sure its gone up since then but in 2002 the average daily traffic was only 400 vehicles. there is literally almost nothing around for at least 30 minutes in any direction.

This, unfortunatly is not true. If you go during the week, there are very few/no cops on the road. they really only show up on the weekends. however, when they are there they will get you for anything they can. they have really started to tighten down on people on the Dragon in recent years and its driving people away.:nonono:

Thats just the word from folks that drive it every week. They say the cops are there as a deterrent but unless you're drifting, going way too fast or being dangerous they'll just flash or honk you to let you know they're there.
