Tommy and I were at the local Pick-N-Pull the other day (couple weeks ago) and found this:

Fiberglass hood, completely painted underhood and interior, it WAS nice....

I see so many sho's in the junkyard its ridiculous. It's too bad they had to put that beautiful motor in such a hideous car.

wait if its a pick n part, then it should be relitivly cheap right?

My local pull a part is like 17 bucks a hood.

Buy that hood and put it on a SHO site, bet you could sell it and make a good profit...

how much would you charge to pick up the hood and ship it to michigan 48114.
a buddy of mine has a sho and loves the hood

Please:drool:

Are you mentally challenged?!! I would have mugged a hobo for $35. You know how hard those are to find? At least post on SHOForum so someone can save it.

That's why they're great. With the right exterior mods though they can look pretty sharp. And surprisingly around here not many people know about them (well they know about SHO's...just not the fact they're not slouch).

One of the best quotes I seen on another forum was something this kid in a Civic said...."he's in a Taurus, I'm gonna kill him."

I don't think they're that hideous, infact I think the 2nd generation SHO's have aged quite nicely considering they were probably sketched out in what....1990, maybe earlier?

Of course, I now drive a V8 SHO and enjoy it so I'm probably impervious to things that are cool and stylistic now. : /

98contoursvt, you better snag that hood before I do cause I sure could use the cash for Christmas! HaHa, j/k your lucky I don't have a way to hall it, or I just might!

Ford really needed to put the SHO motor in a much better car. my cousin had two that just crapped out... not the motor, but like everything else(body, suspension, etc)

Yea, my 95 at 120k felt like every piece was about to fall off. The 3rd gens have a remarkably stiffer structure. My 98 still has the original SARC struts and feels amazingly solid with 102k on it, I don't think it has one rattle in the interior. Even the trans feels like almost new. It also has a ZF steering rack which gives it probably the best steering to ever grace a Taurus.
