You read me wrong brapple. My car is not an SE, it is a "Contour Sport" as said on the trunk.
...and the information BrApple posted makes no mention of the sport model, but he prolly figured I'm the average noobie on here and didn't read the guides (I don't blame him)
Do you know if there was any special options etc pertaining to the sport?
thats pretty funny that the type of brakes used are dependant on the transmission

4 cyl will automatically eliminate SE.
Vehicles intended for rental car fleets frequently had SE badging but were missing quite a few SE package features. I inspected many at Hertz Used Car sales before buying my own '98 SE (in name only) from a Hertz location.
Edit: I guess we're talking about pre-98 cars in this instance, so I don't think this applies.
A GL Sport adds:
15" alloy wheels
Leather wrapped steering wheel
Leather wrapped shift knob
"Sport" badging on trunk
"Sport" embroidered floor mats
Tachometer
