In this thread, i'll explain how to install the NPG cold air intake. This will work for other CAI's as well.
Tools needed:
(if you have the splash shield, you'll need a torx bit, but unsure of what size. Sorry)
Jack and jack stand
10mm socket
8mm socket
flat head screw driver
cut off wheel (dremel or air grinder) Could also possibly use tin snips
sanding discs for dremel or other tool to smooth out metal cuts
primer
paint
1/8" rubber hose
First, set parking brake, jack up car, set jack stand and remove drivers front wheel.
Remove bottom splash guard and put off to the side
Remove the 2 10mm bolts, screw, and push pins that hold the front part of the plastic wheel liner in place and pull it back towards the drivers door and tuck it behind the strut/brake assembly.
remove support bracket and two 8mm bolts that hold the bumper in place on the drivers side and pull the bumper back a little to access the fender bracket and inner fender.
The bracket that needs removed.

Now the fun stuff Mark off where you want to cut the bracket for the fender and where you want to cut for the intake to come out.

Once above piece is trimmed use a hammer to tap the bracket against the frame piece and make sure its nice and flush.

Here is everything cut out. Basically, just trace your lines with your cutoff wheel or tin snips.

Remove the air filter and test fit your pipe, trim as needed to make it fit correctly.

Once you have the hole trimmed to how you like, sand down your cuts to smooth them out. Then paint the area around the hole to prevent any rust.

Then, take a very small diameter hose and split it length wise and slide it over the cut out area of the hole to prevent any metal on metal contact between the fender and the intake.

Slide the intake back into position and put your fender well and splash guard back into place. Sit back and admire your work.
