I cant remember what code it was but it said it was running lean. Whats this mean its got 140k
 
If you get a lean code its usually due to a vacuum leak after the MAF some where. Usual suspects are UIM and LIM gaskets, tho with 140k on the engine and these cars being at least 14 yr old...could be a number of rubber hoses as well.

If you search through this forumn you'll find ton's of answers on how to resolve the issue.
 
Really can only make guesses with out the code. Please get the code.

If could be a vacuum leak, a O2 sensor, a MAF, etc.
