CNG Contours on eBay

Demand is huge for these cars now! There are currently 5 on eBay. A few years ago, they were worth the same as any old Zetec. (In fact, a fairly common CEG mod was to remove the CNG tank and bi-fuel conversion lol.)

I'm seeing one with current bid $6100, and another current bid $4100!

There are three others with bids currently between $3500-4000.

Geez, they really are crazy high! I've never even seen CNG for sale around here.

Yeah they are in demand and getting premium prices...

It's because they are all getting sucked into Utah where CNG is .84 a gallon and into Oklahoma where CNG is .91 a gallon.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Utah also gives a $2,600 tax credit on a CNG Contour if it has never been registered in Utah... so, for example, if you buy one for $4,600 your real cost is $2000.

my dad has many cars that are dual fuel. propane and gas. its a "gas man" thing. he has always been in the propane business. his next car he is going to see if the company wont let him do it again, and buy the propane or natral gas at cost. if he ever has a car like that again ill have to post up pics.

I'm all for them paying insane prices. Maybe the price of Contour's in general will go up. Probably not, but its wishful thinking.

One of the extremely convenient things about CNG is that you can fuel your car from your household gas line with the appropriate equipment.

OK, what's a "fuel provider"? What do they go for? If they go for more than $6000, then it's not such a bad deal. Anything less than that and its no bargain at all.
