I want a new shift knob and I've been looking online and anything decent seems pretty pricey. So I'm thinking about buying a chunk of aluminum and getting it CNC'ed at the school machine shop. Of course I don't know how much this is gonna cost me but seems like it'd be a cheaper alternative.

Anyone do this before?

i had one made at the machine shop i used to work at.
its 13ounces of stainless steel.
