This is my third problem in 2 months with my Zetec Mystique.
Came back from Costco on Sunday, it was -18 Celsius or zero Fahrenheit, at a red light, I could not put into gear, the pedal fell to the floor. I pushed 20 feet to the gas station. I called a towing with a 2 hours wait.
I read on this forum a way back that a member pumped the clutch pedal to get it hard. I did that and it took about 15 times to get hard. I was able to finish my 5 km drive on second gear.
The clutch and slave was charged 10 years ago, it was about 80000 Km or 50 000 miles ago. The original clutch latest 16 years and 150K miles.
My Zetec has 320 000 Km or 200 000 miles.
My question to you is how to check if it the slave that is leaking or the master ?
