Messed around with one pumpkin. This is my idea for October for the calendar. If this has potential, I will take better pics.

put it in the driver's seat so it looks like it is driving. or put it in the background so its not so obvious that you are trying to show the pumpkin, so the car is the main focus. right now the pumpkin is the focus of the picture the car is kinda overlooked like this.

just a couple thoughts.

I think the idea of it off to the side in the background is good. Right now it kinda looks goofy, but you have the right idea.

it needs the right background too.
Like a graveyard, or an area with great fall colors, or in front of a creepy looking old house or something.

Along the lines of what Kim said, if you have an old abandoned house anywhere near you or someplace with an iron gate, perhaps somewhat overgrown. And I think some kind of scarecrow-type thing in the drivers seat with the pumpkin for it's head. I don't know, just tossin out a few ideas that popped into me head.

You want pumpkins? I got your pumpkins.....

I took this on Saturday about 5:00 pm, before this thread started, and it too was going to be my attempt at October in the calender.

A combination of those pictures would be sweet. Get a really big pumpkin and do the SVT carving. Take it to a pumpkin patch at dusk and put the "SVT" carved pumpkin in our around the pumpkin patch with your car in some creative light. I think it'd look really good.

I think you should carve the pumpkin like a helmet and have people take picture of you in the car wearing it.
