Broken Axle.

I exploded the passenger side axle. the shaft busted out of the transmission side CV joint. I got the axle out, But the "Cup & Shaft" Of the old axle are stuck in my trans still.

How do I get it out??

I broke the passenger side axle on my 98 Contour SVT. I got most of the old one out. I cant seem to get the Cup & Spindle from the old axle out of my trans.

What should I do??

as noted a slide hammer is what you need.

sorry for the late reply. Not sure if you fixed the axel yet. The passenger side axle has a jack shaft that is bolted to the engine at the shafts bearing, the CV cup is outside the bearing. It is just two 13mm (I think) nuts to remove the shaft then it should just slide out.
