Well my car like 3 months ago and it is a 2000 contour sport. At any speed greater than 25 mph the rotor rubs against the caliber mount I believe scratching it. When it does this it makes a horrible noise. I replaced this rotor a while after it happened and proceeded to occur ruining my current one. What seems to be the problem?

My second problem is my driver side window when I try to roll it up it will go off the track, I think its the molding and weatherstripping because there rather ratty and so I removed them. So where can I buy this molding and weather stripping or should I have somebody do it for me?

It sounds like either the caliper bracket is loose or jammed to where it can contact the rotor. What do your brake pads look like and is the spring retainer clip in place properly?

You could have a loose caliper, bracket, etc, you could have a missing or improperly fitted caliper spring.. OR.. you could have a failing or failed wheel bearing allowing the wheel to angle inward and tilt the rotor to contact the calipers.

I personally think it is a bearing. I let one go for so long because the car drove straight, but it cut into the caliper bracket. Get that wheel bearing/axle nut checked right away.

So do I, personally.. having had it occur to me as well, I'd say that's it. ESPECIALLY if your pedals feel any more spongy than they used to or at least than you remember them feeling, etc.

That first couple of presses is actually "sucking" the rotor back up straight from the clamping force of the pads.

Hey I'm going to tighten up the axl nut but I personally think its the wheel bearing I remeber the wheel have some play when jacked up.

if the Axle nut is loose then its because it was either improperly replaced (not tightened enough) or that it has been forced loose from a bad bearing.

If there was play in the wheel when you jacked it up then why didn't you fix that then (before it ruined yet another set of rotors)?

Hell.. Above and beyond that, why didn't you mention that in your original post under your symptoms or anything else? We could have used that information 24 hours ago. lol
