Hey guys,

My Ford Racing wires crapped out on me awhile back, so I took some used autolites off a friends totalled SVT. Those wires had high mileage and only lasted me about 5,000 miles. I couldn't find any autolites with a lifetime warrenty at autozone or murrays, so I called up Pepboys and they said they have "Taylor Premium Mag 8mm wires with a lifetime warrents for $47.99" so I ordered them, and when they came to my door they didn't say Taylor anywhere on the box or wires. So I called and gave them the part number and they said that I bought "Tailor wires" spelled differently! The box that they come in doesn't even say "Tailor" though! I wanted the popular Taylor wires that have been around for years! Anyways, the box I have says "Borg Warner SuperMag Select Custom fit Wire Set." Has anyone ever used these? I guess they have lifetime warrenty so if they fit well, then I should be golden. Or do you guys suggest that I go through the hassle of shipping them back and trying to get my money back because they sold be wires that I thought were "Taylor" wires?!?!

I am just a little frusterated with autozone right now! :bah: Also, does anyone know where I can find Autolite wires!?!??! Or the real Taylor wires!?!? without having to get them shipped. I kinda need them right away!

By the way... these Borg Warner wires are "Officially Liscensed by NASCAR" :)

Thanks,

Reebs

I got Taylor 8.2mm "thundervolt" wires from autopartswarehouse.com for just a little more than you paid. They arrived within a couple of days of ordering.

I have Taylor ThunderVolt 8.2mm wires as well. I got them from Summit racing, but had to wait forever and a day. I would try this autopartswarehouse.com to see what they have for deliver. As far as the wires themself go... in the words of Borat "very nice"

Sweet pics. thanks guys. I didn't want to order online, but I defiently will to get the good wires. Only problem... they don't have a lifetime warrenty that I am aware of, or do they!?!? That is kinda why I want to try and find some autolites.

I bought a 5# bag of potatoes at Wal-Mart that has "Offically Licensed by of NASCAR" logo on the bag....

What are they going to brand next..... LOL

I think the problem here is the English language.

Taylor -- (Noun) Brand Name, Persons Name
Tailer -- (Verb) To custom make, to personalize

The wires that Pep Boys and O'Reillys and Autozone all sell Tailor Made wires. Wires custom made for that application rather than generic wires for any 4,6,8 cylinder car. So when they said they were Tailer made wires they were correct.

I just bought a set of Motorcraft wires from O'Reillys. They look the same as the factory wires but they do not have the cylinder numbers marked on them.
