WOW I see my old GC's/Konis, Aussie bar, Subframe, spacers and the LCA's. Those front subframe bushings where the ones i got made for you too?

I'm very happy to see all that work I did years ago being put to use, the way I intended it to be. Pretty sad to say all that was on the salvage car, then the PA car(Now frosty's) and now Blackout2. Man I remember putting crazy hours in at the last job after hours making LCA's, bushings, camber plates and welding in new mounting points for Aussie bars. I still have the unfinished front motor mount AL insert I never milled down to press into the stock mount.

I'm very happy to see this, especially after some of the hate Josh and myself got for going so extreme on the suspension bits back in the day. A very big thanks for many of these ideas go back to Robert Mumm, I still wish I would have bought the Mirko motor and one of the race trans :(

Josh my TIG welder is always available for use, it's at my dads and has plenty of Argon in the tank. You would fall in love with it while doing body work. The Dzus fastners on the rear bumper look TITs! Will it be Dzus all the way around holding it on?

I know I need to get out and help you. Mid May I'm off a whole weekend for my MSF class but will be free in the evenings and nights most likely......well if my bike is completed.

Did a bunch of sanding, made the template for the new rear tow hook, cut out the old tow hooks, NewSVT stripped a bunch of the floor sound deadoning, and I laid some more filler. Pics to come later. It's time for a burger and some UFC.

So I'm pretty sure the sound deadoning is not meant to come out...But I could be wrong

The car is coming along nicely, Josh got some good shots today. Now off for the night and we'll be back at it again tomorrow!

I really like the idea of the quick disconnect DZUS fasteners with the rear bumper. Have you considered doing that for the front as well?

I believe that one of us brought this up the other day, I'm not sure what josh's ideas are but I think it would be a good idea.

More pictures. Friday night and Saturday were pretty productive. Pics:

For those that don't know from experience, the rear tow hooks on the contour are useless. So I made a change, all aluminum construction and easy access.

Also took some time to bust out my box of stickers....

More body work. Fixing all the existing body damage, filling the rear seams, and finished fenders and antenna hole.

Finished, antenna hole and fenders. Final picture also shows how low the seat mounts in the car, I'm 6' 1" and my head is roughly 10" below the inside of the roof, the steering wheel doesn't tilt much farther down.

Chad also did some crazy work getting started on stripping the interior floor sound deadening.

Thanks Joe. I got the second skinning of filler sanded down last night. It's official: I hate body work.

The plan for tonight is to get the fiberglass skins laid on the roof and trunk, and work on filling the existing holes in the hood. Pics to follow.

Updizzle!

Tonight I built the riser and got the Steeda shifter in, and I'm loving it. The throws are incredibly solid and surprisingly short for the length above the fulcrum. I was considering cutting the shifter down, but with the seat mounting as low as it does, the shifter is actually placed exactly where I wanted it to me. I can't say enough good things about how it came out.

Also figured I would throw in a teaser of stage 1&2 fore RLCA progress. I'll have test fit pictures this weekend as well as pictures of the fiberglass work I've been up to.

I think the Steeda short throw my first mod, I got in on the group that some guy from NC set up......wow, that was probably back in 2003.

I always felt like the 1-2 shift and the 3-4 were really short where the 2-3 and 4-5 shifts felt about the same.

Josh, you got mad skillz yo!
