So im trying to bleed my powersteering, but it doesnt seem to be working. The car is on the ground, reservoir has been topped with fluid and turning lock to lock over 10 times with the cap off hasnt done anything. The steering shudders when i move the wheels, and makes loud noises so theres gotta be tonns of air in it.

What else can I do to help remove it all? Should I loosen the nut on the hard line (highpressure) and let it "bleed" there for a bit and then try the lock to lock method again? Also, would getting the wheels off the ground maybe help as it wont be as much strain on the pump?

Just have to keep the resivor full enough and WAIT between running the car. the first time you run it you foam the oil and it will loose most of these bubbles if you wait 1/4 to 1/2 hour and come back and run it again. repeat if necessary. The running and wait was the way we bled forklift hydraulics when I was doig that. Patience is the key.

got it bled! i ended up jacking the front end up so the wheels were off the ground, then slowly turned lock to lock and held it for 5-8 seconds each side for about 6 times and now shes good :)
