i dont know if this is a blessing in disguise or a curse, but csvt #1822 has returned home to his true builder and owner. you may recall that i sold this car to a buddy just after having poured my blood, sweat and tears into it during my 3L install. i offered it for sale without really thinking it over and he said he'd buy it ($10k). i said "sold!" immediately, but later thought i shouldnt have. but i made a deal and i like to keep my word when making a deal so.......i sold it. and bought the cobra.
well, my buddy owed me a rather substantial sum of money going on just over a year now. empty promise after empty promise to pay the $ back. about a year ago i told him just to give me the contour back (with some cash to him) which he refused to do so. finally, he was so broke and needed cash, that he did decide to sell it back to me. i had to borrow $2600 from my gf to get it but i figured it would be the ONLY way to get my money back. i had pretty much written the debt off as a loss and our friendship was practically non-existent because of it. and he was a good friend, and still is.
so now im stuck having to decide whether to keep it (and have FOUR vehicles) or sell it. if i do keep it, ill strip a few of the things he added on to get the cash to pay my gf back. ill also probably add nitrous in the future and possibly Nautilus' turbo kit.
the car runs fantastic except that he effed up the TH trans i had put in it. i think the syncros are damaged. 3 gear is allll jacked up :nonono:
here are the stats:
1999 svt contour
3L with 25k put in while the contour only had 28k on it. car now reads 43k on the odo. everything is in pretty much tip top shape.
Terry Haines transmission with Zetec final drive ratio, slick shifter forks, focus tower etc...and Quaife
SVT cams
tuned by ADC, in person. dyno'd at 220fwhp and approx same for torque
Koni struts with eibach springs
camber kit
front strut bar
rear strut bar built by CEGer (sorry man, your name escapes me. i remember youre form NM though, lol)
subframe connectors
Pudmunkie HID lights (if i keep the car, these will be for sale. i dont want $1300 headlights on my car)
B&M short shifter
Spec Stage III clutch
Spec flywheel
Autometer Phantom guages
Pudmunkie's prototype guage dash (soon back to stock, sorry Pud, i prefer the a/c vents)
Addco rear sway bar. only one in existence as far as i know.
ATI subframe thrown away by the body shop when my buddy slid into a tree and damaged the subframe.
19" Centerline RPMs that my buddy had powdercoated black. these wheels went from DC area, to TX to CA, lol. all with CEGers. ill be replacing them soon with some TF 3 piece wheels.

True Bendz high flow cat and Magnaflow exhaust with resonators.

the window tint is coming OFF and will be replaced with light tint. trust me, living in "raider nation" with a silver and black car is :nonono: :laugh:
