Not good any one i believe (but don't want it to) my tour is about to DIE. I was driving to oreillys today and made a hard left, right then left and got into a parking spot then KA-BOOM oil light was on. I was reaching for the key before i it came on and when i saw it i hauled hand to shut it off. So i have to drive it back but of course i was taking it like a baby. So after work i thought well... I'm going to drive it for 30 miles see if it dies so it doesn't do it going to school. So i do but no death *YAY* but when i hit exactly around 30 ish miles i did a u turn. BAD idea the light went on AGAIN. I was like OH HELL now its really going to die.

I have 6.1 quarts in there and it does not leak a thing. So i would like to know why didn't it die? is it going to happen inevitably?

you getting blue smoke from the exhaust?

if it is not leaking, and not burning oil. There are 3 possibilities.

1: your oil pump is bad

2: your oil pressure sending unit is bad

3: your wiring is bad

is your engine getting a really bad tick?

You said you have 6.1 quarts in. But you didn't mention if you actually checked the oil. Sounds to me like your low. And even if you are low, it doesn't mean your car is about to die.

yeah that too. Lol overlooked that. Did you ever check your oil when the light was coming on?

No smoke out the tail pipe my rings are good. No smoke when first start up so i know my valve seals are good. No other smoke out the pipe other than exhaust. My uncle had this from ford with 11 miles on it (guessing test drive) And had EVERY thing but the motor and tranny (and fuel pump witch is how i got real cheap:laugh replaced at 75k i have all the paper work some where.... And i mean every thing lol the glove box was over flowing with papers.

And yea i did check the oil level as soon as i found level ground. It was like 1/4" above "full".

No the oil light just flickered on then off the second time.

Also no heavy tick it has some VERY little head noise. Lifter or????? But it had that before the light. I believe that's every ones question. Oh and 103miles later (now) it's still running.:shrug:
