airbag code 44

I'll bet not. I don't think there is anything that Ford will still cover on these cars anymore.

Did you test your battery? Sometimes you will get a flashing airbag code if your battery needs replacing.
 
So even if they issued a recall they wont cover it? I have thought about the fact that I might need a new batt soon, I have intermittent CELs lately that I think are either a bad spark coil going or the battery or both.
 
Unfortunately they don't keep the recalls open for ever. You can always give your local Ford dealership a call and inquire.

Have you read the codes?

Run by Advance or AutoZone to have the battery tested and check for pending (if the CEL isn't on) codes. If there are codes, get the number(s)!!
Might as well find out sooner or later if the battery is the cause of the airbag light flashing.
 
Yes, I read the code as a "code 44" something about the front right crash sensor, it was a ridiculosly hot day when it came up every time i started the car and since that day hasn't come back.
