Bored at work for another nite. I decided to venture into making an intake tube to replace the acordion one. I put both lines for the valve covers on the bottom and then powder coated them.

And cut the discs for my strut tower bar.

And cut then bent the bar for it out of stainless steel.

Interesting, let us know how that turns out, looks pretty good! I wish more people would get more bored to do awesome stuff like this

Well it comes in handy when you are the boss. Lol we fabricate all sorts of parts for multi semi truck companies and different school bus companies. We having tubing from about one half inch to six inches. Plus manufacture aluminum fuel tanks.

Very nice.

I was thinking about doing the same thing, but I don't have anything that will flange the tube like you did. So I'll probably have to average the difference in size, and go with a slightly larger diameter main tube.

I did a 3" to a 3 1/2" expansion and welded the valve cover tubes on the bottom. I have been asked about doing a group buy. But not sure about going that far.

No offense taken idea's are always welcome. I am making my prototype solid cause I am leaving it polished steel. We make tie rods for semi trucks so I'll use those for adjustment screw.

Well here is a test fit. Still have to shape the rings and drill the holes to attach it. And the bolts go all the way through but a little short. And of course a good pc on the rings leaving bar chrome.

Looks sweet. Do you have a large Coma press or something similar to bevel the mounting plates?

Yeah man gonna press them next week wanted to get everything lined up on them. Next one will have an adjustment bolt welded into the bar. Just trying one step at a time.

I just would like to know how you got your engine bay so clean lol?? everything looks sweet though..

Clean I think it needs to be cleaned. But thanks, I just try to wipe it out everyonce and a while. Powder coat seems to clean up well. I use turtle wax advanced 2001 and one of the sham wows.

First I am sorry I keep posting all of these pics. Lesson one learned curve plates before welding brackets on. Mine curved a little but were very stiff. When I bolt her down should snug it up. I have gotten a few requests let me check on material costs and will wo see what I can swing. Final bolt pics this weekend.
