ok so my abs is all messed up in my car, it has atleast 2 codes, but i dont care, because its not effecting the use of the car. but my question is can the abs be drawing too enough power because of all the problems to pop the 60 amp fuse it runs off of. my fuse keeps popping when i use everything running on that fuse. One more thing is that if i pull the E-brake while the car is moving(snow drifting), then all the lights dim as if there isnt enough power. im thinking that maybe when im sliding, the abs is sensing that the wheels are moving at all different speeds, and thats drawing too much power.. idk. id really like to figure this one out. any help would be much appreciated.

done plenty of e-brake slides in the snow over the years and never had the abs fuse go ....

i would find out what the abs codes are and fix the issue. maybe that is what is causing the fuse to blow ....

it doesnt blow when i slide, it blows randomly wile driving. what i was saying about the sliding is, while i'm sliding, it seems like voltage throughout the car is lowered(all lights dim), almost as if i was about to stall. so i guess when the abs sences that the rear wheels arent spinning but the front are, it puts a huge load on the engine i guess.. i dont know.

ok, right, thats why im posting to see if anyone else has maybe had this problem, or can post some usefull information.

Damn slow UAE internet :blackeye: Typed up a response, but it timed out and I lost it when I tried to preview it. So here it is again:

I had an electrical problem in my old 96 Contour that would instantly blow one of the main fuses... Don't remember which one, but it was the one that controlled EVERYTHING except the headlights/brake lights.

Anyway, after unhooking like every connector in the whole damn car trying to troubleshoot it, I only had the windsheild wiper motor connected still. Pulled the driver side cowl cover off to get to the motor, and lo and behold, a melted fusible link that hides under there.

This particular fusible link was not in any repair manual (Chilton and Haynes, the latter which is worthless for electrical anyway since it is based off a Mondeo), and it just seemed like the engineers just needed a place to hide it.

So I cut it out, and fuse didn't blow. Started connecting everything and ended up with everything hooked back up. Only thing that still didn't work was the parking lights, even though the fuse was good. So I troubleshot the parking lights and found the wiring melted going to some LED licence plate bolts I put on a while before. Cut those out, and fixed the fusible link, was all good.

And I think that this is unrelated to your ABS being messed up. I would try to get a mod to move this to troubleshooting since it's a general electrical problem, then get the codes to your brakes checked out and make a post in here if you can't figure out what they mean.
