I'd had an image of making a little movie like this for a while and this weekend was perfect for it. This is the first time I've tried producing anything of this level so be nice.

I'll have to check out the video once I'm off the work computer, but where was this shot? 664? I grew up on Lake Logan, and still go back frequently to visit my parents. Beautiful area, and some nice curvy roads. :)

nice, we have a decent sized ford probe meet out there every summer.

I've seen some of you from one the meets - most have been a few of you at dinner at Bob Evan's, a couple years ago. Definitely noticed the nice Probes in the lot.

I gotta say I think that is definitely in the top 5 video's of Contour's I've seen. One of the only ones I think I've seen with that many different camera angles. Where those all mounted at once? Also, as others have asked, what kind of camera's are you using?? Bottom-line... VERY COOL . Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Hey I see you're right next door to me in Hilliard. I'll try to keep an eye out for your Cougar. Vid was pretty much if not entirely 555. LOTS of equally awesome roads down there though.

Awesome video! What kinds of cameras were you using?
YES! Mission accomplished lol...
Entire vid, including the stills, was shot with a single GoPro HD. I tried to splice clips to appear somewhat continuous so it would look like all the angles were filming simultaneously. Each angle was actually a completely different section of the drive and therefore a different time of day even. I love the camera, I just wish they'd come out with the wireless external mic for it already.

Very Cool! I like the shots of the leaves being kicked up behind the car :)
Thanks, me too! Between the swirling leaves and the popping and spitting of the exhaust afterfire every time I lifted off or downshifted, the rear facing angle I think was my favorite.

Ive found some pretty cool ways to use my GoPro  Editing for this movie must have been a pain! Very cool video.

You should extend the arm so you can suction cup it onto the rear bumper or trunk so you can see the exhaust and the road its pretty cool. You can also get some good exhaust notes from there.

Yeah I got tired of editing pretty quickly so I wrapped it up kind of abruptly to prevent the downward spiral of laziness...

Thanks for the tip; I'll have to try that position. Funny story though...so I drove all the way down there with the camera under the dash for a couple reasons. One, I wanted to make sure my legs wouldn't be hitting it where I had it, and two I wanted to get that footage first anyway while the sun was highest in the hope that the most light would get down around the pedals. Anyway, since I departed with the camera stuck under the dash with an adhesive mount, I somehow managed to leave the ENTIRE suction cup rig at home, which almost foiled the whole plan. I had one other curved adhesive mount by the front lower grille, which I had to carefully pull off and reuse for the last three positions. So not only was this shot with one camera, but also mostly reusing the same sticky mount...:blackeye:

Those stickies are pretty strong, but I didnt think that strong. How did you rig it under the dash?
Flat adhesive mount at the bottom of the plastic panel under the steering column, camera clipped directly into it hanging upside-down recording in UPd mode.

Love the vid! That music is not my cup of tea though. Other than that, great job.
Thanks! I knew very well the music would be polarizing but I made it more for my personal enjoyment than mass appeal. I'm keeping the project file; it can always be re-soundtracked.

good thing i just looked at this. i plan to buy a gopro HD hero cam for snowmobiling this winter. i like the shots except the in-car one is a little high. i assume thats because you had it suction'd to the sunroof glass

Nope...actually, it's high because it WASN'T suctioned to the sunroof (see post #12 for why I couldn't suction anything...). Go to my youtube channel and watch my wet vs. dry Mid-Ohio vid to see how low you can get the cam by suctioning to the sunroof and hanging all the way down; it's a perfect view out the windshield. The overhead interior shot was stickied to the sunroof motor cover with no extensions because I didn't have any. It should have been much better.

Also, a comment on the video quality if you're thinking about buying one. It's much better in raw file form than it ever comes out on youtube. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Loved the video. Extra credit for using a song I like, too! Bite to break skin!
 I really like Senses Fail. Couldn't resist putting those two song titles together.
