So im going to replace all the struts and springs on my svt and i want to know whats a good strut an spring combo? i want it to handle nice an tight. i was thinking about the BAT kit but i want to know if i could get better but not anymore costly. Any thought?

you're not going to do much better.
you could order koni springs(1.5 drop vs 1 for bat) from TZT performance for $200 and the spax sport struts for $109.50 each from BAT.

Koni Sport Struts/GC springs probably offer the best handling of any off the shelf kit. Pricey though.

Yes, they offer ride height adjustability. However I believe they will void the warranty for the Koni's, whereas a regular drop spring won't. Something to consider.

I was planning on running the BAT springs with the Bilstein shocks. Has anyone ever run this combo?

I just installed new strut mounts, BAT struts and Koni springs on my SVT. The old SVT stuff was in good shape (fronts had 75k, rears had less than 15k) and the improvement is huge. It has a stiffer "european" ride but I'm impressed with how it rides on rough roads. I called Koni and had to beg them to piece together a kit so I know they are pretty scarce.

BeaterSVT I tried to get your exact name when I registered again haha

LOL... Beater represents my Contour exactly! I'm actually going to go with it on my plate "BTR SVT".

Anyway, I know Summit has the Koni lowering kits in stock. Maybe old stock though. But for $900, I'd rather get the BAT and Bilsteins for around $700.

the koni "kits" for 900.00 is their adjustable struts with their lowering springs. I got the Koni springs for 220 shipped directly from Koni and the non adjustable struts from BAT for 470 shipped. The BAT springs I believe are around a 1 inch drop and the Konis are 1.5. I had my car aligned afterwards and the camber was still within specs without the camber plates. My last SVT had Eibachs with new SVT struts and it rode like a moon bounce, this is a much more refined setup.

Hope it helps,
Steve

I'm running the Bilsteins with Roush springs on my Cougar. The Roush springs are a little higher-rate than the BAT springs, but they are close.

The ride is REALLY FIRM, but pretty amazing; highest recommendation for the Bilsteins if you don't mind the harsh ride. I previously had Koni struts, but I'd had them for so long, I have no idea what they felt like new.
