...are hard to find, they are brittle and fall apart when you merely touch them.




I was able to find 3 in almost two years, The best one I am using now and has no brackets on it. When I push it into the back of the window, I sent my finger through it. it is fixed now. I went to look for another one today and found one! As i try to jimmy it from its clips it crumbled into three pieces.

Yeah the one in the window. I think it just gets too much sun through its life or maybe its too hot out here in the desert.


I made this face when I sent my finger through the one. :eek: I had it for about too weeks. I just cant leave anything alone.
 
I just ripped the whole setup out after going through three covers. They might as well be made out of tissue paper.
 
If you find another, you may want to try changing the entire rear package tray instead of just trying to change the light fixture. If you don't handle the light assembly directly, you may have a better chance. At least that is what I intend to do . . . if I can ever find another one.
 
ive got one, it isnt brittle or anything.

could stand to be painted though due to sunlight discoloration.
 
You can tell the difference, the older style window glass has a black box around the the light, the new style is a cleaner look with no black on the glass.
