Here are a couple of pictures of my Contour with an optimized throttle body (Thank you Harry) and a short ram intake.

My next mod will be an underdrive pulley. I'm debating about fuel injectors and fuel regulator. I have the stock injectors and regulator. I'm just not sure if the injector and regulator upgrades will give the car better performance. What do you guys think?

adjustible FPR would help, but bigger injectors aren't really needed unless you have cams or some sort of Force Induction.

i would say keep the stock injectors with the FPR. you can get the 17's to flow like 19's with the FPR, so dont waste the money. If you're getting cams, go with 24's, but until then, keep the stockers and save the money.

I love the UDP! It seems to be the best mod I made to my car! At the same time, I also made a shocking discovery. My coolant temperature has went down dramatically! I'm trying to figure out how this could be. I know that the UDP is suppose to net me some horsepower. I didn't know that it would bring my engine temperature down!

After thinking about it, I concluded that the weight of the stock pulley had put stress on the crankshaft, making the engine work more. As a result, it increased the engine's temperature. I could be wrong. The stock pulley weighs 3.5 pounds whereas the UDP is maybe 1 pound. It seems to make sense to me. Somebody educate me on this.

UDP looks good. i just put one on my car this past weekend. how do you like it so far?

makes sense... i just dunno if the temperature should drop that drastically. shot thermostat maybe? try this: when ur car warms up, drive it on the streets first, and then the freeway. if the needle drops on the freeway, then u're likely looking at a faulty thermostat.

I should have clarified in my last post that the temperature drop after the UDP mod is a positive gain for me. Before installing the UDP, my engine temperatures were high, putting the coolant guage at the "A" or "L" in NORMAL. This is with a recently flushed coolant system and an oil change to Mobil 1 10W-40. After the UDP was installed, I drove the car in the city first, then the freeway, then back in the city. Throughout the drive, the coolant gauge never went past the "M" in NORMAL. I know that the thermostat isn't bad because I replaced that a year ago. As long as the temperatures can stay in this range, then I'm happy!:D
