95 se cable spedo to 98 svt gauges, with new vss

alright, does anyone know if this can be done on an early 95 with cable driven spedo?
my vss is shot and so is the lower cable to the speedo. if i switch the vss to the style that doesnt have the cable (for late 95+) will it work with the computer and the auto tranny? and would i the be able to swap to a 98 svt clustet?

the vss are both.about the same price, and no one seems to have the cable's. if any one has any input i would apreciate it

I had a 95 with cable speedo. I put in the 96 speedo from my parts car. Diddn't even change the vss. If the gear and electronic part are good its fine. The dash plugged in and worked without doing anything. Now 98 is a redesign. Don't know if the dash plugs right in. Maybe early 98 or EO dashes will? make sure wiring is the same. blu_fuz should know eggplant is a 95 Se. Read his build thread for his car it might be in there what he used.
