my clock light on my 95 GL isn't working any longer. Is there a how-to for replacing it?

When I had my 97, I just got the replacement bulb from the dealer. The bulb is soldered to the base, so a regular bulb from an autoparts store wont work unless you can solder it.

It's really easy. The bulb with it's holder is available at the dealer, usually for less than $5.00 It is hard to find otherwise. You must transfer over the green sleeve or the clock will no longer light up in green. If you have to replace the green sleeve, they were available at partsexpress.com. You can find the part numbers for both the bulb and the green sleeve if you search through the old forums.
To change the light, first you must remove the clock. It is just pried out of it's position in the dash surround trim. Early Mystiques are harder because the dash surround must be removed for access. Once it is out of the dash a few inches, disconnect the wiring connector. On the back side you can find the bulb with it's intregra holder. It's usually black. It has kind of a cross cut in it so it can be twisted with a small screwdriver. Reverse the directions to install the new one.

Using an old credit card to pry it loose instead of a screwdriver will ensure that the clock or bezel does not get broken up. And you should get some duct tape ready to stick the connector to the dash so that it does not fall into the back.

You can mod it too, if you would like it to light up in a different color...
I used a 12V blue LED and made my clock light up blue.

I've already installed the new bulb, but please tell me more on how to install the blue LED!

Get a 12V (#74 IIRC) LED, yank out the bulb from the socket, put LED in.
Otherwise you would need to wire it up. To do this, you'd have to find out the voltage the LED runs at, then calculate a resistor to "eat" the extra voltage (a lot of LEDs run at ~2-3V, so you'd need something that could absorb ~10-12V).
