I've heard that there is some oil drains etc in el block, that 2.5 block doesn't have.
I have searched, but i cant find anything?
If somebody can post some pictures.

Now i have time, because in friday i try crankshaft and bearings and outcome is: it's ruined, it is no straight, it take too much force to rotate, and also at least two of the rod bearings have spun.

So i need to take crankshaft off, buy a new shaft, and inspect all rods... :(

There is one drain back port on the 3L block that needs blocked off when using 2.5L SVT heads on a hybrid swap, or you can use updated 01-02 Cougar heads that match up to the extra port.

I use Svt head, because channels is bigger, and fitting in intake is easy.
Damn, i can't find a picture.

I'll must check casting numbers about block.

...... you can also get the 2 oil drain 2.5L heads from European 2001 MY Mondeo ST200s...... I know this because I have them.

You could also look into the Mk3 Mondeo 2.5L to see if they were fitted with this late change to the 2.5L heads ...... can't see Ford redesigning the head for 1 year.

The MK3 Mondeo would have been signed off and parts would have started to be made by the time these heads were fitted in 2000/1 .

Hope some of that gives you a useful lead....G..

I looked more closely and i find only one hole that will not exist in old 2.5.
I take a photo.

But i'm not sure.

And because all parts are new except crank and rods, i had to make this engine only once, and i make it properly.
I find a about 150 page pdf file, which explain how-to-make engine properly.

I mean that every part had to be measured, and i make engine with blueprints.

In here Finland is a phrase: measure twice;then you can do all at once.

I shame my poor english skills,it complicates my understanding things here.
And i can't express myself as good as i wanna to.

This I would like to see .... can you link please ? .....G.

Thank you ...... that has gone straight in my folder .....G.

I have taurus block number RF-F5DE-6015-EE, it is from 1995.
Now i looked better, and i cant find any excess oil drains, the one that i found does not come under cylinder head, and it is actually blocked, so i looked wrong.

I have read and read and read, but i can't find information.

Please!

If somebody has even one photo at this mystery oil drain.
I can't find it, i just can't.

Now i find and locked 2 oil drains, i fitted svt-heads to block, and voila.
They are so unnoticable...

I drill 9.5mm holes and make 12mm spins, and put bolts to them and finalizing them with "plastic metal etc"

..... can you post pictures ?, not sure what you have done ....G
