I have read the other post relating to my problems but I felt I needed to start fresh to get the advice I need for my problems so here goes...

I've got a 98 CSVT with a full 3L swap from an '03 Taurus and I have it tuned from Nautilus using an X-Cal2 device. Everytime I flash it I get two error codes right off the bat (p1000 & p0602) both of which I have read as much as I can find on them, which is not much, other than the 1000 doesn't do anything and the 0602 I don't know what it does but I have found that it can be turned off in the tune. Now after I start the car and drive it for a while after shutting it off I then have a p1506 IAC overspeed error. From that point forward It starts going downhill the longer I continue to drive it.... I will get a random misfire code (p0141) which comes during the mid range rpms more than anything and then the more i run it the worse the misfiring will get. Will the 1506 be the cause of this? I have replaced the IAC with a new one and the code still comes back so what else should I be checking? I tried to check the voltage but I don't really know what it should read??

Any Ideas??

P1000 is the "METERS NOT COMPLETED" code, and it only means you havent driven through a "driving cycle" since resetting your pcm (unhooking battery)

with the IAC overspeed, either your iac is messed up, or you have the wrong one on there. this will cause the engine to run too lean, which could be causing a misfire, maybe?

I have a ford cd, so I'll take a look in a sec if somebody doesn't beat me too it

p0602, key on, engine off, replace PCM, the rest are blank, soooo....... not good

P0141, Application: NGV

Key on, engine off: Heated O2 heater signal circuit shorted to VPWR, grounded, or execcive power draw. oddly, this artical is in the natrural gas fuel controll section of the code descriptions.

key on engine on and continuos memory links go to same artical

p1506, they also say iac circuit could be grounded, or a vacuum leak.

all in all, sounds like you toasted the pcm, double check the connection to the pcm for loosness, and maybe ask joey if there is some way you could have screwed up the upload to the pcm and it's just confused. doubt it though, probably need a new pcm.

if you do end up needing an svt computer i have one out of a 98 ill let you have cheap if you want it.

Alright....why would I only get the 0602 after I have uploaded the tune? If I return it to stock I dont get that code?

Now as for the misfire I have corrected that problem...it ended up being a problem with the wires...I replaced the plugs and wires and all seems well, but i still have the 0602 and 1506. I have replaced the IAC with a new one and it is still there, so I am guessing maybe a vacum leak but I have not been able to find it.

Other than the high idle, and I am not for sure what gas mileage should be but its not exactly the best, it runs pretty good. Anyone got any ideas what things I could look at with some datalogging using the Xcal and Livelink to see whats going on? There are so many things and I am not familiar with it....

Thanks,
Mike
