225/45/15 on stock SE 15x6 wheel

I found a killer deal on some Hankook RS2s in 225/45/15-anyone know if I can mount this size on my stock SE wheels? I plan to lower the car to compensate for the shorter tire (currently running 205/60/15)

don't bother, the speedometer will be off 8%

you would want 225/55R15

All I can find in 225/55 is competition tires...however I did find RS2s in 225/50. The speedo will be off by 3.3% according to that calculator...certainly something I can live with.

Will I have fitment issues if I use these tires on the stock SE wheel?

I'm afraid the sidewall will be mushy...should I go with something more low profile? I'm not too concerned about the speedo-I can have it recalibrated.

no one has ever bothered before to have the spedometer recallibrated. much easier to match the overall tire size and call it a day.

many run 225's without issue. but then again that on 17's more often then not.

Hmm, that is true. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the 225/50 RS2, then.
