Like the title says!

I went to a local car show yesterday, I have been going to this show for the past 3 years and have seen some really neat stuff. But year, this car took the cake, soley based on the fact that it was an out-of-state car and I had seen the other cars numerous times.

I didn't get all of the specs on the car, but i THINK it was a 387 or something along those lines; don't quote me on that. And yes, it was carb'd and not Fuel Injected.

.... you would be better off going with something new than trying to make that fit a contour. I have a front that I could make work for a contour, and I have a rear that I could make work on a contour.

Honestly, if I have a few bucks extra some time, I am gonna pick up a transmission, a 3 liter and a contour, and do a RWD swap on a contour. I can add a turbo later and hit V8 power. One of those things for when I have a bunch of extra money and finish getting rid of some of my other cars..... 2 gone, 3 to go, then I'll be happy. My ex will be taking the explorer, just need to find a good home for my escort (sadly, too much frame rot) and bonneville now. Then I'll have room for one or two vehicles to play with/fix.

Saw one of these auto-x about 8 years ago. Nothing but tire squeal and understeer. Was fun hearing the supercharger whining away though.

V8-swapped Focii are VERY fast cars, and if the right engine is chosen, they can even handle nearly as well as the 4-cylinder cars. The wildest example I've ever seen has actually been posted p here before. The build was fully documented on FocalJet, and featured a twin-turbo, 1000+ HP 408
