So when I bought this car it "had just developed a small knock" while the owner was cleaning the UIM/LIM. He shut it off and there it sat until the day I picked it up.

So let's start with what I see as I pull the timing cover off.

Then I decided to pull the heads off to get the motor mount off. I got lucky finding the destructo piston right away.

Some crunchiness even made it to the other side.

hahaahahahaaaaa bbwhwhahahahahaaaaaa haahahaahaaaaaaa WTF?!

i cant wait to get my motor out and see what it looks like inside, i'm pretty sure everythings messed up except the intake manifolds lol

holy shnikey, so you were initially tearing it down to find and fix the "knock"?

*sniff sniff sniff*

do you smell that?

it smells like a 3L

I knew that the engine was toast anyway or at least had it in my mind it was. The 3.0 has been sitting on the engine stand since March and is just outside the frame of any pics.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the flywheel is scorched and so is the pressure plate. The Luk clutch seems to be in decent shape but the edges are crumbly. Guess a Spec will be going in afterall. Time to work harder and sweat more to make more money.
