Check engine lite on, Code po302, cylinder 2 mis-fire, car runs fine to me, about a month ago changed spark plugs, wires, air filter, top of the line, yesterday got check engine lite on, the only thing i notice is sometimes it idles higher, wondering if anyone has had similiar problems, coil? vacuum leak bad injector? high or low fuel pressure? any ideas Thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

I just got done resolving this issue on my car last week. My issue was that cylinder 4 was misfiring. In addition, my car would not accelerate past 3000rpms. There's a small list of things to troubleshoot.
Bad spark plugs
Bad spark plug wires
Bad coil pack
Clogged fuel injectors
Bad catalytic converter
In my case, I had new spark plug wires and new coil pack. So I knew that those were not the cause of the problem. Later, I found that I had 2 problems. My catalytic converter was clogged and I had bad spark plugs. My questions to you are:
1) What kind of spark plugs did you put in when you changed them? Believe it or not, the Zetec engine is very picky on spark plugs. In my car, I had the Autolite Iridium XP. The car ran fine for a month, then I kept getting the p0304 code. It turns out that my car simply didn't like the Autolite Iridium XP. So I switched to the Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs and never had a problem since.
2) How old is your catalytic converter? I had 142,000 miles on the car when I found out that my catalytic converter was clogged. So I had my entire exhaust system upgraded with new header, new catalytic converter, new resonator and new muffler. All of it was installed on a new 2.25-inch pipe.
Take this information and try to determine what's causing your issue. Start with the cheapest fixes (spark plugs, wires). If neither of these fix the problem, then have the coil pack tested before deciding to replace it. Fuel injectors rarely go bad, but they do get clogged. Check to make sure that the fuel pressure is correct. If you're also having problem accelerating, you can almost bet it's time to replace the catalytic converter, considering the age of your car.
