I'm new to this forum, but I'm in the contour family for a while.
here the question, contour svt and focus have the same mtx 75 transmission, but fucus also have 6 spd transmission, can it be fitted on CSVT?

Not to mention, the 6 speed getrag mtx thats used in the focus is much weaker than the mtx-75.

i was told you cannot even use the 5spd out of the focus's unless you have a 4cyl because the bolt patterns are different? correct me if i'm wrong

One more questin, is I4 and V6 mtx difference only in cluch housing??? I have I4 tranny in really good shape, just wondering if I can swap it in to my CSVT. Also pre 98 and 98 up, is there a big difference???
