brake light on acceleration

When it's cold out, (40-50 and below) when I accelerate, my brake light lights up. If I get off the gas pedal, it will go away, but once I give it any gas it will light up again. After driving for 10-15 minutes, it no longer does this.

Recent maintenance on the car's brakes were:
1. Replaced E-Brake lines and rear calipers. Didn't notice the light after I did this.
2. Removed front right brake caliper and re-installed for a "how-to" speech for one of my classes on how to change your brake pads.

Any hints? Everything is there, tightened and secure.

check your brake fluid levels. I bet you are "sloshing" the fluid low enough that it comes on.

After that, perhaps check your Ebrake handle for looseness, etc

Yea, I guess I'll have to check my fluid. Thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't thought of that. I know its not my E-Brake handle, because thats what I first suspected, so I disconnected the wire from it that activates the light when it is engaged and the problem continued. I'll let you guys know the verdict tomorrow.

If the brake fluid is indeed low, that is certain sign that your brakes are in need of service. Thin pads allow more of the fluid to stay in the calipers resulting in a low fluid level in the reservoir.
