ok when i went to work today, i didnt notice anything wrong with my car. when i left to go home my car wouldnt start, it turned over like it was new just wouldnt ignite. So the first thing i thought was the fuel pump. so i pulled out the fuse and it looked brand new, but i replaced it anywase. And sure enough it started right up. Now i started to wounder why did the old fuse not work when it was obviously good. So just to make sure it was the fuse, i put the old one back in, and to my suprise it still started right back up. So my question if the fuel pump takes a crap is it possible for it to quote fix itself, (keeping in mind it probily will happen again), or once its done its done...
thx.

It's possible, but I don't think that's where the problem lies. The first thing I would do is go ahead and change out your Cam Position sensor and Crank Position sensor. I guarantee the Crank Sensor needs to be replaced anyway if you have some miles on the SVT. The wire insulation is known to crack and flake off on that sensor. If your car does the same thing again, try wiggling the wires on your Crank sensor before you do anything else. I've had this problem before.

thanks for the info, im gonna check the howto's in a minute but if there arnt any there do you know of a some good info about were they are located and how to replace as well as were i can get the parts.

You might check the How-to's on the old forum if it will let you log in there. All of this information has been covered in depth there, but hasn't made its way over to the new boards yet. If you can't find the info. reply back here so we can save the thread for future reference.

I have a great picture of the placement on the duratec if you're still having trouble. PM me for it and I'll email it to you
