2.25" Center Caps on E0's?

I have a quick question about putting center caps on the E0 style OEM wheel. I'm not talking about the large wavy piece of plastic that covers the lugs etc... completely, but instead putting a round cap in the center hub portion of the wheel. Not sure if anyone has done this before or why exactly they would want to, but I'm trying to make best of what I have for the time being.

A quick measurement with a tape measure they seem to be 2.25" DIA on the inside lip. I searched a few posts and don't see much specific information on the E0's... I was just curious if I buy a mustang or something center cap, will they snap in and work if the measurement given is 2.25" DIA? For example:

Any input would be appreciated. TIA

I saw this done before, somebody took the SVT center caps off of the E1 wheels and put them on the E0 wheels... can't remember if it was a car I saw on eBay or what, but it looked like crap.

What I want to know is, do the centre caps from the european Ford Cosworth wheels fit the E0 wheels?

I put a set of E0s on my wife's GL, but I feel like the SVT emblems are false advertising. I'd prefer just an engraved Ford logo like the Cossies have.

I don't remember his name but one of the early CEG members had an SE with SVT wheels and European center caps so he didn't have the SVT label on his non SVT. I don't remember his name. He did not say what the caps were from except that he ordered them from Europe.

Also, I'm reasonably certain that they are a perfect match for some covers I've seen on some Tauruses. With some research, you may find something that says Ford instead of SVT that can be ordered locally.
