Alright, so some of you may have remembered my post about a month ago saying that I got a couple Magnaflow Mufflers swapped out on my car. It sounds real nice and low but even after my car warms up now I still get some Rasp from time to time, Mainly when I rev it up fast. It's not horrible, but still makes me mad. Oh I forgot to mention that I had my resonator taken out and just strait piped. So now i'm trying to decide if I should get a Magnaflow Resonator or a Glasspack or something. and Suggestions? And YES I do wish I could just afford some Real exhuast, but I just can't right now. Especiall since it only cost me about $150 for the Magnaflow mufflers and install from a friend. Better than $500 plus instill for me right now... Really wish I cold though...

i wouldn't go magnaflow , i would go glasspack as my car is mostly quiet with it . i couldn't even think how mad i woulda been if i paid extra for the magnaflow & it was even more quiet ! ( footnote , stock muffs here ... but there small )

I just ordered my Magnaflow 14415 the other day..Cant wait to install it.I have my resonator cut off and pipe in its place. Can anyone tell me how its going to sound.Get me excited to install it?..I have a stock SVT exhaust.

Probably looking at the wrong end. Try looking at your intake setup. If your filter is clogged or worn it could be resulting in you not getting enough air into your engine, so it makes your exhaust sound like its raspy. Open it up a little bit that might do the trick.

I'll just disregard the message right before mine, I'd rather have the stock exhaust setup I do now with magnaflow mufflers and lil rasp than waist my money on a Flowmaster setup on a CSVT.... Oh and I'm pretty sure it's not my Intake setup being that it is 2 months old...

What kind of filter are you running? I was running stock intake and filter and upgraded to a drop in ebay filter. It didn't work and my exhaust sounded muffled and a little wheezy. Just figured it would be another way of looking at it since you have worked out all the kinks in yuor exhaust. I put a K&N drop in filter and now my exhaust sounds awesome. I get compliments all the time.
